St. Petersburg, Fla. (29 March 2015) – There was much to celebrate in Maranello as Ferrari fans around the world had a Sunday to remember.
Just hours after Scuderia Ferrari won the Formula 1 race in Malaysia, R.Ferri Motorsport RACING WITH FERRARI took a dramatic victory on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida in Round 4 of the 2015 Pirelli World Challenge championship.
Starting from third on the grid, R.Ferri Motorsport RACING WITH FERRARI driver Olivier Beretta raced the No. 61 Ferrari 458 Italia into the lead at the start and never looked back, taking his second victory of the 2015 season.
“It is a good day for Ferrari, victory in Formula One and in GT!” said Beretta, who added to his impressive resume of victories on the St. Pete street circuit. “I just did my job and I am very happy. I had no choice but to go for the lead early in the race because you never know if you are going to get yellow flags here. The team did a very good job and I am very happy to win for them again!”

After opening the weekend with a run to eighth in Race 1 on Saturday, Beretta’s Race 2 victory launched him into the provisional points lead in the Pirelli World Challenge championship standings, with the series set to return to race action April 17-19 with the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.
